A critical tool for your SARS-CoV-2 research, the pPACK-BALD Envelope Protein-free Lentivector Packaging Mix is a ready-to-use packaging mix for creating envelope protein-free negative controls for pPACK-SPIKE and pPACK-SPIKE D614G studies. In addition, pPACK-BALD can also be used to generate custom pseudotyped virus particles by including your own envelope protein expression vector in the packaging reaction.
Based on SBI's highly cited pPACKH1 packaging system, pPACK-BALD consists of two plasmids that produce all of the structural and replication proteins needed to transcribe and package an RNA copy of an expression lentivector into recombinant lentivirus particles that have no envelope protein.
